South Point
lt’s located at the end of Black İsland and boat journey of 50 mins. This dive spot is for advanced and open water divers as well as perfect site for beginners and snorkellers. The dive consists of rocky slopes with rocky outcrops, giant clams in sea grass, at the 16 meter level on the descent/ascent. Tight shoals of small fish will be seen during the dive. There are some small caves to be seen during the dive and an overhang to be seen at the 26 mtrs level which contains amphoras on a shelf. A large grouper patrols this overhang.
South point has another dive spot for Advanced open water divers called Sponge Reef. This site is between 18 mtrs and 40 plus. The reef itself covered with hundreds of different type of sponges hence the name. Marine life includes family of groupers, barracudas, jacks, dentex, eels, etc etc.
