Small Reef / Big Reef

The reefs are located between Bodrum and Black island, only 20 mins ride by the boat. Two massive rocks peak from the sandy bottom with a distance of 200 mtrs from each other. The reefs themselves are stunning on the walls and well known for its fish life. Dusky and Goldblotch groupers, Barracudas, Jacks, Dentex, Murray eels, Octopus, School of damsels, breams, wrasse, plenty of micro, different types of sponge and occasional stingrays, etc, etc. Watch the movie!!

The top of the Big reef is 5 to 6 mtrs below the surface and divers can use the anchor chain for easy descent to top of the reef. lt has a wall which faces black island and drops straight down from 5 mtrs to 34 mtrs. The other side of the reef is gradual slope down to depths of 25 to 30 mtrs. Padi open water or 1 star Cmas divers can use this side of the reef to descend to their depths. The higher level of divers can descend straight from the drop off. The wall is rich with marine life and particularly well suited for photography.

The top of the Small reef is 4 mtrs below the surface and like the big reef, divers can use the anchor chain to descent to the top of it. Small reef has cylinder shape and has walls all around it. You can circumnavigate around it at least twice during your dive. Walls of the small reef have plenty of inlets, overhangs which is well suited for micro photography.
